Chapter 118: Conversation Between Sītā and Anasūyā
Text 2.118.22
प्रतिगृह्य च तत्सीता प्रीतिदानं यशस्विनी।
श्लिष्टाञ्जलिपुटा तत्र समुपास्त तपोधनाम्॥
pratigṛhya ca tat sītā prīti-dānaṁ yaśasvinī
śliṣṭāñjali-puṭā tatra samupāsta tapo-dhanām
pratigṛhya = accepted; ca = and then; tat = those; sītā = Sītā; prīti-dānam = gifts of love; yaśasvinī = illustrious; śliṣṭa-añjali-puṭā = while joining her palms in supplication; tatra = beside that lady; samupāsta = sat; tapaḥ-dhanām = enriched with austerity.
Illustrious Sītā accepted those gifts of love and then sat beside that lady enriched with austerity while joining her palms in supplication.
