Chapter 118: Conversation Between Sītā and Anasūyā
Text 2.118.23
तथा सीतामुपासीनामनसूया दृढव्रता।
वचनं प्रष्टुमारेभे कांचित्प्रियकथामनु॥
tathā sītām upāsīnām anasūyā dṛḍha-vratā
vacanaṁ praṣṭum ārebhe kāñcit priya-kathām anu
tathā = then; sītām = Sītā; upāsīnām = who was seated beside her; anasūyā = Anasūyā; dṛḍha-vratā = who was firm in her vows; vacanam praṣṭum = to ask; ārebhe = began; kāñcit = about something; priya-kathām anu = dear to her.
Anasūyā who was firm in her vows then began to ask Sītā who was seated beside her about something dear to her.
