Chapter 118: Conversation Between Sītā and Anasūyā

महायज्ञे तदा तस्य वरुणेन महात्मना।
दत्तं धनुर्वरं प्रीत्या तूणी चाक्षयसायकौ॥
mahā-yajñe tadā tasya varuṇena mahātmanā
dattaṁ dhanur-varaṁ prītyā tūṇī cākṣaya-sāyakau
mahā-yajñe tadā = on the occasion of a great sacrifice; tasya = him; varuṇena = Varuṇa; mahā-ātmanā = the greatly intelligent; dattam = gifted; dhanuḥ-varam = an excellent bow; prītyā = had affectionately; tūṇī = two quivers; ca = and; akṣaya-sāyakau = that could produce unlimited arrows.
On the occasion of a great sacrifice, the greatly intelligent Varuṇa had affectionately gifted him an excellent bow and two quivers that could produce unlimited arrows.
[The devas] had these gifted through Varuṇa.
