Canto 2 -
Ayodhyā-kāṇḍa
Chapter 119: Rāma Departs to Daṇḍakāraṇya
Text 2.119.13
न्यवेदयत्ततः सर्वं सीता रामाय मैथिली।
प्रीतिदानं तपस्विन्या वसनाभरणस्रजम्॥१३॥
nyavedayat tataḥ sarvaṁ sītā rāmāya maithilī
prīti-dānaṁ tapasvinyā vasanābharaṇa-srajam
nyavedayat = informed; tataḥ = then; sarvam = of all; sītā = Sītā; rāmāya = Rāma; maithilī = Maithilī; prīti-dānam = the gifts of love; tapasvinyā = from the ascetic; vasana-ābharaṇa-srajam = the clothes, ornaments and garland.
Maithilī then informed Rāma of all the gifts of love from the ascetic—the clothes, ornaments and garland.
In some manuscripts, vasanābharaṇa-srajām appears instead of vasanābharaṇa-srajam. [But the meaning of the sentence is the same.]
