Chapter 5: Rāma Meets Sage Śarabhaṅga
Text 3.5.35

इह राम महातेजाः सुतीक्ष्णो नाम धार्मिकः।
वसत्यरण्ये धर्मात्मा स ते श्रेयो विधास्यति॥

iha rāma mahā-tejāḥ sutīkṣṇo nāma dhārmikaḥ
vasaty araṇye dharmātmā sa te śreyo vidhāsyati

iha = here; rāma = Rāma; mahā-tejāḥ = the greatly powerful [sage]; sutīkṣṇaḥ = Sutīkṣṇa; nāma = named; dhārmikaḥ = is dhārmika in conduct; vasati = resides; araṇye = in the forest; dharma-ātmā = and intelligence; saḥ = he; te = to You; śreyaḥ = good; vidhāsyati = he will do.

Rāma, the greatly powerful [sage] named Sutīkṣṇa resides here in the forest. He is dhārmika in conduct and intelligence. He will do good to You.

“He resides here” means “He resides not far from here.”1
