Chapter 7: Rāma Meets Sutīkṣṇa
Text 3.7.11
श्वः पुष्येण जितक्रोधं यौवराज्येन राघवम्।
राजा दशरथो राममभिषेचयितानघम्॥
śvaḥ puṣyeṇa jita-krodhaṁ yauvarājyena rāghavam
rājā daśaratho rāmam abhiṣecayitānagham
śvaḥ = tomorrow; puṣyeṇa = under the influence of the nakṣatra Puṣya; jita-krodham = who has conquered anger; yauvarājyena = as the crown prince; rāghavam = the descendant of Raghu; rājā = King; daśarathaḥ = Daśaratha; rāmam = Rāma; abhiṣecayitā = will coronate; anagham = and who is sinless.
Tomorrow, under the influence of the nakṣatra Puṣya, King Daśaratha will coronate Rāma, the descendant of Raghu who has conquered anger and who is sinless, as the crown prince.
That Rāma had conquered anger and that He was sinless are partially illustrative of His fitness for being coronated as the crown prince.
