Canto 3 -
Araṇya-kāṇḍa
Chapter 9: Sītā Requests Rāma to Give up His Weapons
Text 3.9.9

तृतीयं यदिदं रौद्रं परप्राणाभिहिंसनम्।
निर्वैरं क्रियते मोहात्तच्च ते समुपस्थितम्॥

tṛtīyaṁ yad idaṁ raudraṁ para-prāṇābhihiṁsanam
nirvairaṁ kriyate mohāt tac ca te samupasthitam

tṛtīyam = third great calamity; yat = and which; idam = that is; raudram = violence; para-prāṇa-abhihiṁsanam = that harms others’ lives; nirvairam = in the absence of hostility; kriyate = is inflicted by the wretched; mohāt = out of delusion; tat ca = the; te = You; samupasthitam = has approached.

The third great calamity, that is violence that harms others’ lives in the absence of hostility and which is inflicted by the wretched out of delusion, has approached You.

“The third great calamity has approached You” means “You are about to engage in this activity.” How is Rāma about to engage in this activity? She states that next.
