Chapter 9: Sītā Requests Rāma to Give up His Weapons
Text 3.9.15
क्षत्रियाणां च हि धनुर्हुताशनस्येन्धनानि च।
समीपतस्स्थितं तेजो बलमुच्छ्रयते भृशम्॥
kṣatriyāṇāṁ ca hi dhanur hutāśanasyendhanāni ca
samīpataḥ sthitaṁ tejo balam ucchrayate bhṛśam
kṣatriyāṇām ca = of kṣatriyas; hi dhanuḥ = the bow; huta-aśanasya = for fire; indhanāni = the fuel; ca = and; samīpataḥ = nearby; sthitam = [just] by being; tejaḥ = of prowess; balam = the strength; ucchrayate = increase; bhṛśam = greatly.
The bow of kṣatriyas and the fuel for fire greatly increase the strength of prowess [just] by being nearby.
