Chapter 11: Rāma Goes to Agastya’s Āśrama
Text 3.11.47-48

पश्यन्वनानि रम्याणि पर्वतांश्चाभ्रसन्निभान्।
सरांसि सरितश्चैव पथि मार्गवशानुगाः॥

सुतीक्ष्णेनोपदिष्टेन गत्वा तेन पथा सुखम्।
इदं परमसंहृष्टो वाक्यं लक्ष्मणमब्रवीत्॥

paśyan vanāni ramyāṇi parvatāṁś cābhra-sannibhān
sarāṁsi saritaś caiva pathi mārga-vaśānugāḥ

sutīkṣṇenopadiṣṭena gatvā tena pathā sukham
idaṁ parama-saṁhṛṣṭo vākyaṁ lakṣmaṇam abravīt

paśyan = watching; vanāni = forests; ramyāṇi = pleasant; parvatān = mountains; ca = and; abhra-sannibhān = cloudlike; sarāṁsi = lakes; saritaḥ = rivers; ca eva = as well as; pathi = on the way; mārga-vaśa-anugāḥ = that flowed by the pathway; sutīkṣṇena = by Sutīkṣṇa; upadiṣṭena = as instructed; gatvā = Rāma went; tena = on the; pathā = path; sukham = happily; idam = the following; parama-saṁhṛṣṭaḥ = with great delight; vākyam = words; lakṣmaṇam = to Lakṣmaṇa; abravīt = and spoke.

Watching pleasant forests, cloudlike mountains and lakes on the way as well as rivers that flowed by the pathway, Rāma went happily on the path as instructed by Sutīkṣṇa and spoke the following words to Lakṣmaṇa, with great delight.
