Chapter 11: Rāma Goes to Agastya’s Āśrama
Text 3.11.66
कुतो निष्क्रमितुं शक्तिर्मया जीर्णस्य रक्षसः।
भ्रातुस्ते मेषरूपस्य गतस्य यमसादनम्॥
kuto niṣkramituṁ śaktir mayā jīrṇasya rakṣasaḥ
bhrātus te meṣa-rūpasya gatasya yama-sādanam
kutaḥ = where is; niṣkramitum = to come out [of my body]; śaktiḥ = capacity; mayā = by me; jīrṇasya = has [already] been digested; rakṣasaḥ = that rākṣasa; bhrātuḥ = brother’s; te = your; meṣa-rūpasya = in the form of a ram; gatasya = he has gone; yama-sādanam = to the abode of Yamarāja.
Where is your brother’s capacity to come out [of my body]? That rākṣasa in the form of a ram has [already] been digested by me. He has gone to the abode of Yamarāja.
