Chapter 11: Rāma Goes to Agastya’s Āśrama
Text 3.11.75
गम्यतामिति तेनोक्तो जगाम रघुनन्दनः।
यथोद्दिष्टेन मार्गेण वनं तच्चावलोकयन्॥
gamyatām iti tenokto jagāma raghu-nandanaḥ
yathoddiṣṭena mārgeṇa vanaṁ tac cāvalokayan
gamyatām iti = go; tena = he; uktaḥ = said; jagāma = [then] went; raghu-nandanaḥ = the beloved descendant of Raghu; yathā-uddiṣṭena = as instructed; mārgeṇa = on the path; vanam = forest; tat ca = at the; avalokayan = while looking.
He said, “Go!” The beloved descendant of Raghu [then] went on the path as instructed while looking at the forest.
