Chapter 11: Rāma Goes to Agastya’s Āśrama
Text 3.11.89
एष लोकार्चितः साधुर्हिते नित्यरतः सताम्।
अस्मानभिगतानेष श्रेयसा योजयिष्यति॥
eṣa lokārcitaḥ sādhur hite nitya-rataḥ satām
asmān abhigatān eṣa śreyasā yojayiṣyati
eṣaḥ = this; loka-arcitaḥ = is worshipped by the world; sādhuḥ = saint; hite = in the welfare; nitya-rataḥ = and is constantly engaged; satām = of the saints; asmān = us; abhigatān = who have approached [him]; eṣaḥ = he; śreyasā yojayiṣyati = will benefit.
This saint is worshipped by the world and is constantly engaged in the welfare of the saints. He will benefit us who have approached [him].
GLOSS. Agastya would benefit Rāma by giving Him a bow and so on.
