Chapter 12: Agastya Requests Rāma to Protect the Sages

राजा दशरथो नाम ज्येष्ठस्तस्य सुतो बली।
रामः प्राप्तो मुनिं द्रष्टुं भार्यया सह सीतया॥
rājā daśaratho nāma jyeṣṭhas tasya suto balī
rāmaḥ prāpto muniṁ draṣṭuṁ bhāryayā saha sītayā
rājā = king; daśarathaḥ = Daśaratha; nāma = named; jyeṣṭhaḥ = the eldest; tasya = of the; sutaḥ = son; balī = the powerful; rāmaḥ = Rāma; prāptaḥ = has come; munim = the sage; draṣṭum = to see; bhāryayā = His wife; saha = with; sītayā = Sītā.
The powerful Rāma, the eldest son of the king named Daśaratha, has come to see the sage with His wife Sītā.
