ततः शिष्यादुपश्रुत्य प्राप्तं रामं सलक्ष्मणम्।
वैदेहीं च महाभागामिदं वचनमब्रवीत्॥
tataḥ śiṣyād upaśrutya prāptaṁ rāmaṁ sa-lakṣmaṇam
vaidehīṁ ca mahā-bhāgām idaṁ vacanam abravīt
tataḥ = from that; śiṣyāt = disciple; upaśrutya = upon hearing; prāptam = had arrived; rāmam = that Rāma; sa-lakṣmaṇam = Lakṣmaṇa; vaidehīm = Vaidehī; ca = and; mahā-bhāgām = the greatly fortunate; idam = the following; vacanam = words; abravīt = [the sage] spoke.
Upon hearing from that disciple that Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa and the greatly fortunate Vaidehī had arrived, [the sage] spoke the following words.1
1]. When Agastya heard from his disciple that his family deity Śrī Rāma had arrived with Lakṣmaṇa and the greatly fortunate Sītā-devī, he became delighted and then spoke as follows.
