Chapter 12: Agastya Requests Rāma to Protect the Sages
Text 3.12.13
ततो निष्क्रम्य संभ्रान्तः शिष्यो लक्ष्मणमब्रवीत्।
क्वासौ रामो मुनिं द्रष्टुमेतु प्रविशतु स्वयम्॥
tato niṣkramya sambhrāntaḥ śiṣyo lakṣmaṇam abravīt
kvāsau rāmo muniṁ draṣṭum etu praviśatu svayam
tataḥ = then; niṣkramya = came out and; sambhrāntaḥ = the perplexed; śiṣyaḥ = disciple; lakṣmaṇam = Lakṣmaṇa; abravīt = asked; kva = where is; asau = this; rāmaḥ = Rāma; munim = the sage; draṣṭum = to see; etu = let Him come; praviśatu = let Him come in; svayam = by Himself.
The perplexed disciple then came out and asked Lakṣmaṇa, “Where is this Rāma? Let Him come to see the sage! Let Him come in by Himself!”
