Chapter 12: Agastya Requests Rāma to Protect the Sages
Text 3.12.14
ततो गत्वाश्रमद्वारं शिष्येण सह लक्ष्मणः।
दर्शयामास काकुत्स्थं सीतां च जनकात्मजाम्॥
tato gatvāśrama-dvāraṁ śiṣyeṇa saha lakṣmaṇaḥ
darśayām āsa kākutsthaṁ sītāṁ ca janakātmajām
tataḥ gatvā = went and; āśrama-dvāram = to the gate of the āśrama; śiṣyeṇa = that disciple of the sage; saha = with; lakṣmaṇaḥ = Lakṣmaṇa; darśayām āsa = showed [him]; kākutstham = the descendant of Kakutstha; sītām = Sītā; ca = and; janaka-ātmajām = Janaka’s daughter.
Lakṣmaṇa went to the gate of the āśrama with that disciple of the sage and showed [him] the descendant of Kakutstha and Janaka’s daughter Sītā.
