Chapter 12: Agastya Requests Rāma to Protect the Sages
Text 3.12.15
तं शिष्यः प्रश्रितो वाक्यमगस्त्यवचनं ब्रुवन्।
प्रावेशयद्यथान्यायं सत्कारार्हं सुसत्कृतम्॥
taṁ śiṣyaḥ praśrito vākyam agastya-vacanaṁ bruvan
prāveśayad yathā-nyāyaṁ satkārārhaṁ susatkṛtam
tam = Rāma; śiṣyaḥ = disciple; praśritaḥ = the humble; vākyam agastya-vacanam = Agastya’s words of instruction; bruvan = while conveying; prāveśayat = had enter; yathā-nyāyam = in accordance with the scriptural regulations; satkāra-arham = the respectable; susatkṛtam = who was [now] well respected.
While conveying Agastya’s words of instruction, the humble disciple had the respectable Rāma, who was well respected [by the sage] in accordance with the scriptural regulations, enter.
Lord Rāma was well respected with very humble words.
