तद्धनुस्तौ च तूणीरौ शरं खङ्गं च मानद।
जयाय प्रतिगृह्णीष्व वज्रं वज्रधरो यथा॥
tad dhanus tau ca tūṇīrau śaraṁ khaḍgaṁ ca mānada
jayāya pratigṛhṇīṣva vajraṁ vajradharo yathā
tat = the; dhanuḥ = bow; tau ca = the; tūṇīrau = quivers; śaram = arrow; khaḍgam = sword; ca = and; mānada = respectful Rāma; jayāya = to become victorious; pratigṛhṇīṣva = please accept; vajram = [accepting his] thunderbolt; vajradharaḥ = the wielder of thunderbolt; yathā = like.
Respectful Rāma, like the wielder of thunderbolt [accepting his] thunderbolt, please accept the bow, the quivers, arrow and sword to become victorious.
The arrow and sword were also from Lord Viṣṇu.
“Just as the thunderbolt was accepted by the wielder of thunderbolt, please accept these which belong to You,” [the sage implied].
