एवमुक्तो महाबाहुरगस्त्येन महात्मना।
उपास्य पश्चिमां सन्ध्यां रामः सौमित्रिणा सह॥
अभिवाद्य महात्मानमगस्त्यमृषिसत्तमम्।
सुष्वाप रजनीमेकां पूजितः परमर्षिणा॥
evam ukto mahā-bāhur agastyena mahātmanā
upāsya paścimāṁ sandhyāṁ rāmaḥ saumitriṇā saha
abhivādya mahātmānam agastyam ṛṣi-sattamam
suṣvāpa rajanīm ekāṁ pūjitaḥ parama-rṣiṇā
evam = in this manner; uktaḥ = upon being instructed; mahā-bāhuḥ = the mighty-armed; agastyena = Agastya; mahā-ātmanā = by the great soul; upāsya = and performed; paścimām = the final; sandhyām = sandhyā-vandana; rāmaḥ = Rāma; saumitriṇā = Lakṣmaṇa; saha = and; abhivādya = offered Their respectful obeisances; mahā-ātmānam = the greatly intelligent; agastyam = unto Agastya; ṛṣi-sattamam = and most excellent sage; suṣvāpa = Rāma slept; rajanīm ekām = that night; pūjitaḥ = honored; parama-ṛṣiṇā = by the great sage.
Upon being instructed in this manner by the great soul Agastya, the mighty-armed Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa offered Their respectful obeisances unto Agastya, the greatly intelligent and most excellent sage, and performed the final sandhyā-vandana. Honored by the great sage, Rāma slept that night.
