Chapter 12: Agastya Requests Rāma to Protect the Sages
Text 3.12.44
कच्चित्सुखा निशा राम व्यतीता रघुनन्दन।
तव सभ्रातृभार्यस्य ममाश्रमपदे शुभे॥
kaccit sukhā niśā rāma vyatītā raghu-nandana
tava sabhrātṛ-bhāryasya mamāśrama-pade śubhe
kaccit = did; sukhā niśā rāma = O Rāma; vyatītā = pass the night happily; raghu-nandana = O beloved descendant of Raghu; tava = You; sa-bhrātṛ-bhāryasya = Your wife and brother; mama = my; āśrama-pade = at āśrama; śubhe = auspicious.
O Rāma, O beloved descendant of Raghu, did You, Your wife and brother pass the night happily at my auspicious āśrama?
