कालोऽयं गतभूयिष्ठो यः कालस्तव राघव।
समयो यो नरेन्द्रेण कृतो दशरथेन ते।
तीर्णप्रतिज्ञः काकुत्स्थ सुखं राम निवत्स्यसि॥
kālo ’yaṁ gata-bhūyiṣṭho yaḥ kālas tava rāghava
samayo yo narendreṇa kṛto daśarathena te
tīrṇa-pratijñaḥ kākutstha sukhaṁ rāma nivatsyasi
kālaḥ = time; ayam = the; gata-bhūyiṣṭhaḥ = is almost over; yaḥ kālaḥ = for which; tava = [given] to You; rāghava = Rāghava; samayaḥ = the agreement; yaḥ nara-indreṇa = King; kṛtaḥ = had made; daśarathena = Daśaratha; te = with You; tīrṇa-pratijñaḥ = having fulfilled Your promise; kākutstha = Kākutstha; sukham = happily; rāma = Rāma; nivatsyasi = You will live.
Rāghava, Kākutstha, Rāma, the time [given] to You for which the agreement King Daśaratha had made with You is almost over. Having fulfilled Your promise, You will live happily.
