Chapter 13: Rāma Departs for Pañcavaṭī
Text 3.13.8
अलङ्कृतोऽयं देशश्च यत्र सौमित्रिणा सह।
वैदेह्या चानया राम वत्स्यसि त्वमरिन्दम।।८।।
alaṅkṛto ’yaṁ deśaś ca yatra saumitriṇā saha
vaidehyā cānayā rāma vatsyasi tvam arindama
alaṅkṛtaḥ = [You can] decorate; ayam = the; deśaḥ ca = place; yatra = where; saumitriṇā saha = and Lakṣmaṇa; vaidehyā ca anayā = with Vaidehī; rāma = O Rāma; vatsyasi = reside; tvam = You; arindama = O subduer of enemies.
O Rāma, O subduer of enemies, [You can] decorate the place where You reside with Vaidehī and Lakṣmaṇa.
“The place” refers to the āśrama area [where Rāma resides]. It can also refer to the earthly planetary system where Rāma lives for 11,000 years.
