Chapter 13: Rāma Departs for Pañcavaṭī
Text 3.13.9
एवमुक्तः स मुनिना राघवः संयताञ्जलिः।
उवाच प्रश्रितं वाक्यमृषिं दीप्तमिवानलम्॥
evam uktaḥ sa muninā rāghavaḥ saṁyatāñjaliḥ
uvāca praśritaṁ vākyam ṛṣiṁ dīptam ivānalam
evam = thus; uktaḥ = spoke; saḥ = the; muninā = when the sage; rāghavaḥ = descendant of Raghu; saṁyata-añjaliḥ = joined His palms and; uvāca = spoke; praśritam = of humility; vākyam = words; ṛṣim = to the sage; dīptam = who shone; iva = like; analam = fire.
When the sage spoke thus, the descendant of Raghu joined His palms and spoke words of humility to the sage who shone like fire.
