Chapter 13: Rāma Departs for Pañcavaṭī
Text 3.13.12

ततोऽब्रवीन्मुनिश्रेष्ठः श्रुत्वा रामस्य तद्वचः।
ध्यात्वा मुहूर्तं धर्मात्मा धीरो धीरतरं वचः॥

tato ’bravīn muni-śreṣṭhaḥ śrutvā rāmasya tad vacaḥ
dhyātvā muhūrtaṁ dharmātmā dhīro dhīrataraṁ vacaḥ

tataḥ abravīt = spoke; muni-śreṣṭhaḥ = and excellent sage; śrutvā = upon hearing; rāmasya = of Rāma; tat = those; vacaḥ = words; dhyātvā = thought and; muhūrtam = for a moment; dharma-ātmā = whose mind was dhārmika; dhīraḥ = the intelligent; dhīrataram = very decisively; vacaḥ = the [following] words.

Upon hearing those words of Rāma, the intelligent and excellent sage whose mind was dhārmika thought for a moment and spoke the [following] words very decisively.

The sage thought about a place suitable for [Rāma’s] future activities. He was intelligent, that is, he decisively came to a conclusion about a place suitable for [Rāma’s] activities.
