तत्र गत्वाश्रमपदं कृत्वा सौमित्रिणा सह।
वैदेह्या चानया राम वत्स्यसि त्वमरिंदम।
रंस्यसे त्वं पितुर्वाक्यं यथोक्तमनुपालयन्॥
tatra gatvāśrama-padaṁ kṛtvā saumitriṇā saha
vaidehyā cānayā rāma vatsyasi tvam arindama
raṁsyase tvaṁ pitur vākyaṁ yathoktam anupālayan
tatra = there; gatvā = go; āśrama-padam = an āśrama; kṛtvā = make and; saumitriṇā = Saumitri; saha = with; vaidehyā = Vaidehī; ca = and; anayā = this; rāma = O Rāma; vatsyasi tvam = live; arindama = O subduer of enemies; raṁsyase = will be happy [there]; tvam = You; pituḥ = Your father’s; vākyam = instruction; yathā-uktam = properly; anupālayan = while carrying out.
O Rāma, O subduer of enemies, go there, make an āśrama and live with Saumitri and this Vaidehī. You will be happy [there] while properly carrying out Your father’s instruction.
