Chapter 13: Rāma Departs for Pañcavaṭī
Text 3.13.25

अगस्त्येनैवमुक्तस्तु रामः सौमित्रिणा सह।
सत्कृत्यामन्त्रयामास तमृषिं सत्यवादिनम्॥

agastyenaivam uktas tu rāmaḥ saumitriṇā saha
satkṛtyāmantrayām āsa tam ṛṣiṁ satyavādinam

agastyena = Agastya; evam uktaḥ = when spoke; tu = thus; rāmaḥ = Rāma; saumitriṇā = Lakṣmaṇa; saha = and; satkṛtya = offered [Their] respects; āmantrayām āsa tam = and sought his permission [to leave]; ṛṣim = to the sage; satyavādinam = who [always] spoke the truth.

When Agastya spoke thus, Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa offered [Their] respects to the sage who [always] spoke the truth and sought his permission [to leave].

[Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa] offered [Their] respects by circumambulating [the sage] and by offering him Their respectful obeisances.
