Chapter 14: Śrī Rāma Meets Jaṭāyu
Text 3.14.6
पूर्वकाले महाबाहो ये प्रजापतयोऽभवन्।
तान्मे निगदतः सर्वानादितः शृणु राघव॥
pūrva-kāle mahā-bāho ye prajā-patayo ’bhavan
tān me nigadataḥ sarvān āditaḥ śṛṇu rāghava
pūrva-kāle = in the past; mahā-bāho = O mighty-armed; ye = who; prajā-patayaḥ = progenitors of the creatures; abhavan = were; tān = those; me = to me; nigadataḥ = as I describe; sarvān = all; āditaḥ = from the very beginning; śṛṇu = listen; rāghava = Rāghava.
O mighty-armed Rāghava, listen to me as I describe all those who were progenitors of the creatures in the past, from the very beginning.
