Chapter 14: Śrī Rāma Meets Jaṭāyu
Text 3.14.19

धृतराष्ट्री तु हंसांश्च कलहंसांश्च सर्वशः।
चक्रवाकांश्च भद्रं ते विजज्ञे सापि भामिनी॥

dhṛtarāṣṭrī tu haṁsāṁś ca kalahaṁsāṁś ca sarvaśaḥ
cakravākāṁś ca bhadraṁ te vijajñe sāpi bhāminī

dhṛtarāṣṭrī tu = Dhṛtarāṣṭrī; haṁsān ca = to rājahaṁsa swans; kalahaṁsān ca = kalahaṁsa swans; sarvaśaḥ = and all [kinds of]; cakravākān ca = cakravākas; bhadram = [may there be] auspiciousness; te = unto You; vijajñe = gave birth; api bhāminī = the beautiful.

The beautiful Dhṛtarāṣṭrī gave birth to rājahaṁsa swans, kalahaṁsa swans, and all [kinds of] cakravākas. [May there be] auspiciousness unto You!

The vulture utters bhadraṁ te (“[May there be] auspiciousness unto You!”) in the middle [of this section] to prohibit disrespect for topics not [immediately] relevant [to the question that has been posed].
