नातिदूरेण चासन्ने मृगयूथनिपीडिताः।
मयूरनादिता रम्याः प्रांशवो बहुकन्दराः।
दृश्यन्ते गिरयः सौम्य फुल्लैस्तरुभिरावृताः॥
nātidūreṇa cāsanne mṛga-yūtha-nipīḍitāḥ
mayūra-nāditā ramyāḥ prāṁśavo bahu-kandarāḥ
dṛśyante girayaḥ saumya phullais tarubhir āvṛtāḥ
na = neither; atidūreṇa = nor too far; ca āsanne = that are too near; mṛga-yūtha-nipīḍitāḥ = and they are crowded by herds of deer; mayūra-nāditāḥ = resounding with the cries of peacocks; ramyāḥ = are lovely; prāṁśavaḥ = the tall mountains; bahu-kandarāḥ = with deep caves 3; dṛśyante = can be seen [from here]; girayaḥ = mountains; saumya = gentle Lakṣmaṇa; phullaiḥ = containing blossomed flowers; tarubhiḥ = with trees; āvṛtāḥ = they are filled.
Gentle Lakṣmaṇa, mountains that are neither too near nor too far can be seen [from here]. The tall mountains with deep caves are lovely and they are crowded by herds of deer. Resounding with the cries of peacocks, they are filled with trees containing blossomed flowers.
Godāvarī was also neither too near nor too far [from there].
