Canto 3 -
Araṇya-kāṇḍa
Chapter 16: Lakṣmaṇa’s Description of Winter
Text 3.16.41

इत्येवं विलपंस्तत्र प्राप्य गोदावरीं नदीम्।
चक्रेऽभिषेकं काकुत्स्थः सानुजः सह सीतया॥

ity evaṁ vilapaṁs tatra prāpya godāvarīṁ nadīm
cakre ’bhiṣekaṁ kākutsthaḥ sānujaḥ saha sītayā

iti evam vilapan = lamenting like this; tatra = there; prāpya = came and; godāvarīm = Godāvarī; nadīm = to the river; cakre abhiṣekam = took His bath; kākutsthaḥ = Kākutstha; sa-anujaḥ = with His younger brother; saha = and with; sītayā = Sītā-devī.

Lamenting like this, Kākutstha came to the river Godāvarī with His younger brother and with Sītā-devī, and took His bath there.

“Lamenting like this” indicates that He spoke many words out of affection for Bharata.
