Araṇya-kāṇḍa
Chapter 19: Khara Sends Fourteen Rākṣasas to Destroy Rāma
Text 3.19.8

अद्याहं मार्गणैः प्राणानादास्ये जीवितान्तकैः।
सलिले क्षीरमासक्तं निष्पिबन्निव सारसः॥

adyāhaṁ mārgaṇaiḥ prāṇān ādāsye jīvitāntakaiḥ
salile kṣīram āsaktaṁ niṣpibann iva sārasaḥ

adya = today; aham = I; mārgaṇaiḥ = arrows; prāṇān = his life-airs; ādāsye = will seize; jīvita-antakaiḥ = with my deadly; salile = with water; kṣīram = the milk; āsaktam = which has been mixed; niṣpiban = that drinks; iva = like; sārasaḥ = the sārasa swan.

Today I will seize his life-airs with my deadly arrows like the sārasa swan that drinks the milk which has been mixed with water.

Jīvitāntakaiḥ indicates [that Khara planned to use] arrows that could destroy the lives of his enemies.
