Chapter 19: Khara Sends Fourteen Rākṣasas to Destroy Rāma
Text 3.19.11
तं न देवा न गन्धर्वा न पिशाचा न राक्षसाः।
मयापकृष्टं कृपणं शक्तास्त्रातुमिहाहवे॥
taṁ na devā na gandharvā na piśācā na rākṣasāḥ
mayāpakṛṣṭaṁ kṛpaṇaṁ śaktās trātum ihāhave
tam = that; na = neither; devāḥ = the devas; na = nor; gandharvāḥ = the gandharvas; na = nor; piśācāḥ = the piśācas; na = and nor; rākṣasāḥ = the rākṣasas; mayā = by me; apakṛṣṭam = brought; kṛpaṇam = wretched one; śaktāḥ = are capable; trātum = of protecting; iha = now; āhave = to a battle.
Neither the devas, nor the gandharvas, nor the piśācas, nor the rākṣasas are capable of protecting that wretched one brought by me to a battle now.
