Chapter 20: Rāma Kills the Fourteen Rākṣasas
Text 3.20.3
तान्दृष्ट्वा राघवः श्रीमानागतां तां च राक्षसीम्।
अब्रवीद्भ्रातरं रामो लक्ष्मणं दीप्ततेजसम्॥
tān dṛṣṭvā rāghavaḥ śrīmān āgatāṁ tāṁ ca rākṣasīm
abravīd bhrātaraṁ rāmo lakṣmaṇaṁ dīpta-tejasam
tān = those [rākṣasas]; dṛṣṭvā = upon seeing; rāghavaḥ = descendant of Raghu; śrīmān = the handsome; āgatām = who had arrived; tām = the; ca = and; rākṣasīm = rākṣasī; abravīt = spoke; bhrātaram = to His brother; rāmaḥ = Rāma; lakṣmaṇam = Lakṣmaṇa; dīpta-tejasam = who blazed with prowess.
Upon seeing the rākṣasī who had arrived and those [rākṣasas], Rāma, the handsome descendant of Raghu, spoke to His brother Lakṣmaṇa who blazed with prowess.
