भ्रातुः समीपे शोकार्ता ससर्ज निनदं मुहुः।
भूमौ शयाना दुःखार्ता लब्धसंज्ञा चिरात्पुनः।
सस्वरं मुमुचे बाष्पं विषण्णवदना तदा॥
bhrātuḥ samīpe śokārtā sasarja ninadaṁ muhuḥ
bhūmau śayānā duḥkhārtā labdha-saṁjñā cirāt punaḥ
sasvaraṁ mumuce bāṣpaṁ viṣaṇṇa-vadanā tadā
bhrātuḥ = her brother; samīpe = near; śoka-ārtā = afflicted with sorrow; sasarja ninadam = she cried; muhuḥ = again; bhūmau = on the ground; śayānā = she lay; duḥkha-ārtā = in distress; labdha-saṁjñā cirāt punaḥ = she regained her consciousness after a long time; sasvaram = and loudly; mumuce = shed; bāṣpam = tears; viṣaṇṇa-vadanā tadā = with a dejected face.
Afflicted with sorrow, she again cried near her brother. She lay on the ground in distress. She regained her consciousness after a long time and loudly shed tears with a dejected face.
