निःसत्त्वस्याल्पवीर्यस्य वासस्ते कीदृशस्त्विह।
अपयाहि जनस्थानात्त्वरितः सहबान्धवः।
जहि त्वं समरे मूढान्यथा तु कुलपांसन॥
niḥsattvasyālpa-vīryasya vāsas te kīdṛśas tv iha
apayāhi janasthānāt tvaritaḥ saha-bāndhavaḥ
jahi tvaṁ samare mūḍhānyathā tu kula-pāṁsana
niḥsattvasya = who are devoid of strength; alpa-vīryasya = and filled with little prowess; vāsaḥ = reside; te kīdṛśaḥ tu = how come you; iha = here; apayāhi = leave; janasthānāt = Janasthāna; tvaritaḥ = quickly; saha-bāndhavaḥ = with your relatives; jahi tvam = kill [Him]; samare = in battle; mūḍha = you foolish; anyathā tu = otherwise; kula-pāṁsana = defiler of the family.
You foolish defiler of the family, how come you who are devoid of strength and filled with little prowess reside here? Quickly leave Janasthāna with your relatives. Otherwise kill [Him] in battle.
The question here indicates that [according to Śūrpaṇakhā, Khara was] extremely unfit [to reside in Janasthāna].
