Chapter 24: Lord Rāma Prepares to Fight With Khara’s Army
Text 3.24.4

अमी रुधिरधारास्तु विसृजन्तः खरस्वनान्।
व्योम्नि मेघा विवर्तन्ते परुषा गर्दभारुणाः॥

amī rudhira-dhārās tu visṛjantaḥ khara-svanān
vyomni meghā vivartante paruṣā gardabhāruṇāḥ

amī = there are; rudhira-dhārāḥ tu = showers of blood; visṛjantaḥ = and pour down; khara-svanān = they thunder terribly; vyomni  = in the sky; meghāḥ = clouds; vivartante = moving; paruṣāḥ = harsh; gardabha-aruṇāḥ = as grey as donkeys.

There are harsh clouds, as grey as donkeys. Moving in the sky, they thunder terribly and pour down showers of blood.1
