Chapter 26: Rāmacandra Destroys Dūṣaṇa and his Followers
Text 3.26.13
भ्रष्टस्तस्य महाकायः पपात रणमूर्धनि।
परिघश्छिन्नहस्तस्य शक्रध्वज इवाग्रतः॥
bhraṣṭas tasya mahā-kāyaḥ papāta raṇa-mūrdhani
parighaś chinna-hastasya śakra-dhvaja ivāgrataḥ
bhraṣṭaḥ = [then] slipped; tasya = from his [and]; mahā-kāyaḥ = the large-sized; papāta = and fell; raṇa-mūrdhani = at the forefront of the battle; parighaḥ = iron club; chinna-hastasya = Dūṣaṇa’s hands had been cut off; śakra-dhvajaḥ = an indra-dhvaja; iva = like; agrataḥ = in front of him.
At the forefront of the battle, Dūṣaṇa’s hands had been cut off. The large-sized iron club [then] slipped from his [hand] and fell in front of him like an indra-dhvaja.
