Chapter 26: Rāmacandra Destroys Dūṣaṇa and his Followers
Text 3.26.14
स कराभ्यां विकीर्णाभ्यां पापात भुवि दूषणः।
विषाणाभ्यां विशीर्णाभ्यां मनस्वीव महागजः॥
sa karābhyāṁ vikīrṇābhyāṁ pāpāta bhuvi dūṣaṇaḥ
viṣāṇābhyāṁ viśīrṇābhyāṁ manasvīva mahā-gajaḥ
saḥ = the; karābhyām = with his hands; vikīrṇābhyām = that had been cut off; pāpāta = fell; bhuvi = on the ground; dūṣaṇaḥ = Dūṣaṇa; viṣāṇābhyām = with its tusks; viśīrṇābhyām = that had been cut off; manasvī = [when] sober; iva = he resembled; mahā-gajaḥ = a large elephant.
[When] the sober Dūṣaṇa fell on the ground with his hands that had been cut off, he resembled a large elephant with its tusks that had been cut off.
