Chapter 26: Rāmacandra Destroys Dūṣaṇa and his Followers
Text 3.26.15
तं दृष्ट्वा पतितं भूमौ दूषणं निहतं रणे।
साधु साध्विति काकुत्स्थं सर्वभूतान्यपूजयन्॥
taṁ dṛṣṭvā patitaṁ bhūmau dūṣaṇaṁ nihataṁ raṇe
sādhu sādhv iti kākutsthaṁ sarva-bhūtāny apūjayan
tam dṛṣṭvā = upon seeing; patitam = and fallen; bhūmau = on the ground; dūṣaṇam = Dūṣaṇa; nihatam = killed; raṇe = in battle; sādhu = sādhu; sādhu iti = by exclaiming sādhu; kākutstham = the descendant of Kakutstha; sarva-bhūtāni = all creatures; apūjayan = glorified.
Upon seeing Dūṣaṇa killed in battle and fallen on the ground, all creatures glorified the descendant of Kakutstha by exclaiming, “sādhu, sādhu!”1

NOTE. Prabhupāda sets out the meaning of “sādhu, sādhu” in his purport to Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 4.21.45:
When a person speaks very nicely at a meeting, he is congratulated by the audience, who express their good will with the words sādhu, sādhu.
