Chapter 26: Rāmacandra Destroys Dūṣaṇa and his Followers

दूषणस्यानुगान्पञ्चसाहस्रान्कुपितः क्षणात्।
बाणौघैः पञ्च साहस्रैरनयद्यमसादनम्॥
dūṣaṇasyānugān pañca-sāhasrān kupitaḥ kṣaṇāt
bāṇaughaiḥ pañca sāhasrair anayad yama-sādanam
dūṣaṇasya = of Dūṣaṇa; anugān = followers; pañca-sāhasrān = five thousand; kupitaḥ = angry Rāmacandra; kṣaṇāt = in a moment; bāṇa-oghaiḥ = showers of arrows; pañca sāhasraiḥ = used five thousand; anayat = to send; yama-sādanam = to the abode of Yamarāja.
In a moment, angry Rāmacandra used five thousand showers of arrows to send five thousand followers of Dūṣaṇa to the abode of Yamarāja.
