Chapter 28: Śrī Rāma Attacks Khara
Text 3.28.26
स धनुर्धन्विनां श्रेष्ठः प्रगृह्य परमाहवे।
मुमोच परमेष्वासः षट् छरानभिलक्षितान्॥
sa dhanur dhanvināṁ śreṣṭhaḥ pragṛhya paramāhave
mumoca parameṣvāsaḥ ṣaṭ charān abhilakṣitān
saḥ = Lord Rāma; dhanuḥ = a bow; dhanvinām = of archers; śreṣṭhaḥ = the best; pragṛhya = took; parama-āhave = in that great battle; mumoca = then released; parama-iṣvāsaḥ = that excellent bowman; ṣaṭ = six; śarān = arrows; abhilakṣitān = famous.
Lord Rāma, the best of archers, took a bow in that great battle. That excellent bowman then released six famous arrows.1

In the next verse, the author describes how Lord Rāma used His six arrows.
GLOSS. Abhilakṣitān indicates that the capacities of these arrows were known [to the world].
