Chapter 28: Śrī Rāma Attacks Khara
Text 3.28.32
प्रभग्नधन्वा विरथो हताश्वो हतसारथिः।
गदापाणिरवप्लुत्य तस्थौ भूमौ खरस्तदा॥
prabhagna-dhanvā viratho hatāśvo hata-sārathiḥ
gadā-pāṇir avaplutya tasthau bhūmau kharas tadā
prabhagna-dhanvā = his bow shattered; virathaḥ = devoid of his chariot; hata-aśvaḥ = his horse killed; hata-sārathiḥ = and his charioteer destroyed; gadā-pāṇiḥ = with a club in hand; avaplutya = got out of his chariot; tasthau = and stood; bhūmau = on the ground; kharaḥ tadā = Khara.
His bow shattered, devoid of his chariot, his horse killed and his charioteer destroyed, Khara got out of his chariot with a club in hand and stood on the ground.
