Canto 3 -
Araṇya-kāṇḍa
Chapter 29: Rāma Breaks Khara’s Mace
Text 3.29.21
न तु मामिह तिष्ठन्तं पश्यसि त्वं गदाधरम्।
धराधरमिवाकम्प्यं पर्वतं धातुभिश्चितम्॥
na tu mām iha tiṣṭhantaṁ paśyasi tvaṁ gadā-dharam
dharā-dharam ivākampyaṁ parvataṁ dhātubhiś citam
na tu = not; mām = me; iha = here; tiṣṭhantam = standing; paśyasi = do consider; tvam = You; gadā-dharam = and holding a club; dharā-dharam = that supports the earth; iva = to be like; akampyam = an unshakeable; parvatam = mountain; dhātubhiḥ = with minerals; citam = and is enriched.
You do not consider me standing here and holding a club to be like an unshakeable mountain that supports the earth and is enriched with minerals.
Lord Rāma stood in front of Khara who motionlessly held his club which was smeared with the blood of his enemies. Khara thought that Śrī Rāma was blabbering because He didn't consider Khara to be unshakeable like a mountain or that he was an all-accomplisher.
