Canto 3 -
Araṇya-kāṇḍa
Chapter 31: Rāvaṇa’s Conversation with Akampana and Mārīca
Text 3.31.7

दहेयमपि सङ्क्रुद्धस्तेजसादित्यपावकौ।
वातस्य तरसा वेगं निहन्तुमहमुत्सहे॥७ ॥

daheyam api saṅkruddhas tejasāditya-pāvakau
vātasya tarasā vegaṁ nihantum aham utsahe

daheyam = I can burn up; api = even; saṅkruddhaḥ = [when I am] infuriated; tejasā = with my prowess; āditya-pāvakau = Sūrya and Agni; vātasya = of Vāyu; tarasā = quickly; vegam = the force; nihantum = restrain; aham = I; utsahe = can.

[When I am] infuriated, I can even burn up Sūrya and Agni with my prowess. I can quickly restrain the force of Vāyu.

“[When I am] infuriated, I can even burn up Sūrya and Agni with my prowess” means “[When I am] infuriated, I can even burn up Sūrya and Agni, even when they help each other, with my prowess.” Therefore there is no redundancy here.1

1 Agni was mentioned in the previous verse.
