Chapter 31: Rāvaṇa’s Conversation with Akampana and Mārīca
Text 3.31.32
अरोचयत तद्वाक्यं रावणो राक्षसाधिपः।
चिन्तयित्वा महाबाहुरकम्पनमुवाच ह॥
arocayata tad-vākyaṁ rāvaṇo rākṣasādhipaḥ
cintayitvā mahā-bāhur akampanam uvāca ha
arocayata = liked; tat-vākyam = his suggestion; rāvaṇaḥ = Rāvaṇa; rākṣasa-adhipaḥ = lord of the rākṣasas; cintayitvā = after pondering about the means to get rid of Rāma; mahā-bāhuḥ = the mighty-armed; akampanam = to Akampana; uvāca ha = spoke [as follows].
Rāvaṇa liked his suggestion. After pondering about the means to get rid of Rāma, the mighty-armed lord of the rākṣasas spoke to Akampana [as follows].
