Chapter 32: Śūrpaṇakhā Goes to Meet Rāvaṇa
Text 3.32.22
तं दिव्यवस्त्राभरणं दिव्यमाल्योपशोभितम्।
आसने सूपविष्टं च कालकालमिवोद्यतम्॥
taṁ divya-vastrābharaṇaṁ divya-mālyopaśobhitam
āsane sūpaviṣṭaṁ ca kāla-kālam ivodyatam
tam = he; divya-vastra-ābharaṇam = was adorned with celestial garments; divya-mālya-upaśobhitam = and resplendent with celestial garlands; āsane = on his seat; su-upaviṣṭam = he was sitting very comfortably; ca = and; kāla-kālam = to be the death of death; iva = seemed; udyatam = ready to act.
He was adorned with celestial garments and resplendent with celestial garlands. He was sitting very comfortably on his seat and seemed to be the death of death, ready to act.
