Canto 3 -
Araṇya-kāṇḍa
Chapter 34: Rāvaṇa’s Conversation With Śūrpaṇakhā
Text 3.34.26

विज्ञायेहात्मशक्तिं च ह्रियतामबला बलात्।
सीता सर्वानवद्याङ्गी भार्यार्थे राक्षसेश्वर॥

vijñāyehātma-śaktiṁ ca hriyatām abalā balāt
sītā sarvānavadyāṅgī bhāryārthe rākṣaseśvara

vijñāya = consider; iha = now; ātma-śaktim ca = your own potency 1; hriyatām = kidnap; abalā = the girl; balāt = and with your manly strength; sītā = Sītā; sarva-anavadya-aṅgī = whose body is entirely spotless; bhāryā-arthe = to make her your wife; rākṣasa-īśvara = O lord of the rākṣasas.

O lord of the rākṣasas, consider your own potency now and with your manly strength, kidnap the girl Sītā, whose body is entirely spotless, to make her your wife.1

1 There appears to be a play on the word bala which appears in two different ways: balāt (“with your manly strength”) and abalā (“the girl”). Abalā is the feminine form of the word abala which literally means “weak.”
