Chapter 35: Rāvaṇa Goes to Meet Mārīca Again
Text 3.35.36
तं तु गत्वा परं पारं समुद्रस्य नदीपतेः।
ददर्शाश्रममेकान्ते रम्ये पुण्ये वनान्तरे॥
taṁ tu gatvā paraṁ pāraṁ samudrasya nadī-pateḥ
dadarśāśramam ekānte ramye puṇye vanāntare
tam tu gatvā = having reached the; param = other; pāram = shore; samudrasya = of the ocean; nadī-pateḥ = the lord of the rivers; dadarśa = Rāvaṇa saw; āśramam = an āśrama; ekānte = in a lonely; ramye = pleasant; puṇye = and pious; vana-antare = area within the forest.
Having reached the other shore of the ocean, the lord of the rivers, Rāvaṇa saw an āśrama in a lonely, pleasant and pious area within the forest.
