Chapter 38: Mārīca Instructs Rāvaṇa
Text 3.38.9
देवतानामपि भवान्समरेष्वभिपालकः।
आसीत्तव कृतं कर्म त्रिलोके विदितं नृप॥
devatānām api bhavān samareṣv abhipālakaḥ
āsīt tava kṛtaṁ karma tri-loke viditaṁ nṛpa
devatānām = of the devas; api = even; bhavān = Your Excellency; samareṣu = in battle; abhipālakaḥ = the protector; āsīt = has been; tava = by you; kṛtam = performed; karma = the activity; tri-loke = in the three worlds; viditam = is well known; nṛpa = O king.
“Your Excellency has been the protector of even the devas in battle. O king, the activity performed by you is well known in the three worlds!
