Chapter 38: Mārīca Instructs Rāvaṇa
Text 3.38.27
दिव्यचन्दनदिग्धाङ्गान्दिव्याभरणभूषितान्।
द्रक्ष्यस्यभिहतान्भूमौ तव दोषात्तु राक्षसान्॥
divya-candana-digdhāṅgān divyābharaṇa-bhūṣitān
drakṣyasy abhihatān bhūmau tava doṣāt tu rākṣasān
divya-candana-digdha-aṅgān = whose bodies are smeared with celestial sandalwood paste; divya-ābharaṇa-bhūṣitān = and who are adorned with celestial ornaments; drakṣyasi = you will see; abhihatān = slain; bhūmau = on the ground; tava = your; doṣāt tu = simply because of fault; rākṣasān = rākṣasas.
You will see rākṣasas whose bodies are smeared with celestial sandalwood paste and who are adorned with celestial ornaments slain on the ground simply because of your fault.
